Custom Decoration in Adventure Mode
« on: February 12, 2010, 12:56:52 pm »

I know that skills like decoration will not be implemented for a bajillion years, but I think this would be good. Let's say your aesthetic of an adventurer decides he wants to put gold on his sword. so he gets the crap he needs, and when he decorates it, he ends up with an image of a flying elf, as a dwarf had recently tossed one off the tower of death. Since you are not controlling an army of drunkards, don't you think that you should have more control over what you do with things like decoration in adventure mode?

I don't think ordering specific things in fort mode is unreasonable either

Adventurer skills are required before the player decorating his own stuff is even worth considering. Paying a blacksmith to do it should be a requirement for now

I think if I listened to the DW talks correctly he is already planning for you to be able to order things to be made a certain way in Dwarf mode at least.  Not sure about adventure.
