40d Save Corruption.
« on: February 03, 2010, 04:50:40 pm »

I've been experimenting with fortress designs for a bit, but my save files keep corrupting themselves, with the game crashing after about three saves. The only modifications I've been doing are removing the need for dwarves to sleep and drink, as I've wanted them working constantly on my fortress designs. Could this, or any other modification to dwarven statistics cause save files to corrupt?

Try adding the tags again, play for just as long, and see it if crashes.

If not, try it again.

If it once again doesn't crash, you can be sure you found your problem.

There was a somewhat recent topic on this sort of thing, and while I have nothing useful of my own to suggest, you may as well attempt what little's been said there.

I added [NO_SLEEP] and [NO_DRINK] tags, rather then removed anything. I don't think you can remove such properties without those tags.
