Big Bug
« on: March 20, 2011, 10:22:34 pm »

Alright, so I'm getting a pretty annoying bug on 4.03.1 Windows.

Basically, I'm raiding the one of the downtown apartments. I've got enough stealth and security that I can clean out every single floor. Here's the problem though: after doing this, if I try to quit, I get a crash. Note: I can still sell items, as long as I don't try to pawn them selectively and I can still view my items by going through Review.

The message I get is:
Code: [Select]
Debug Assertion Failed!

Program: [blah]\crimesquad.exe
File: [blah]\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\algorithm
Line: 3136

Expression: invalid operator<

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've also got this bug with pawn selectively.

Oh, and I just tested it and the bug isn't replicated on wine. I'm running Ubuntu 9.0.4 and it doesn't have the bug.

Windows 7 (-_-)

Seems you can just ignore the bug, though.

A) Windows XP, actually
B) Can't ignore it - it crashes no matter why I respond to the error

Does this occur whenever you clear out the apartments, or only immediately after the site action?

If the latter, then replaying the day and doing things different will get your game out of the crashing cycle.  Otherwise, the bug may be related to the large volume of non-regular quality items retrieved (bloodied, damaged, and low quality items, such as those with "[2]" in their name).  Right now, the game isn't good at coping with non-standard items.

A workaround would probably be to drop on-site any bloody, damaged, or lower-quality items.
