Caged ringleader would make a great pet for him too.

That is, if you plan to have the pits empty before he moves in  ;)

Only in dwarven culture is alcohol poisoning a death worthed investigating, while being impaled through several toes, a eye, and a thumb from a spiraling water[3] is not.  Because everyone knows, the only way a dwarf could get alcohol poisoning is if someone put poison into the alcohol.

Whaddya mean, you saw something move? The military has totally gone through here and wiped it clean...

True, but at a certain velocity the resulting explosion expels invader-bits at fatal speeds. You don't want to be dropping trogdolyte-shaped shrapnel bombs into your boneworks.
Only in Dwarf Fortress...

Yeah, It'll be empty. I just don't want to kill this one, He may be awesome. Also, all the [Octopi] and [Lucifer] are already dead. Anyone know how to kill off all the insane elves now wandering around my craftsdwarves, who are working overtime to exract the [Awsomeness]

I wish rooms could span z-levels, because I would LOVE to give my mayor an empty hfs for his personal lair.

And what makes you think that the [zomfgwtf] would not make him go crazy? But you always could try and have some good ol' FUN!  ;D

Yar, spoilers ahoy, if ye've somehow managed to make it this far in the topic and still care about spoilers.

Could make for some nice DF based fiction. King, obsessed with adamantine, makes a perilous journey out to a tiny for in the middle of nowhere (possibly a ridiculously hot desert, it'd fit thematically) due to reports of adamantine. After the demons are cleared out, he demands a room in the pits, to be surrounded by the adamantine at all times. He requests more and more items made from it, and those who disobey his commands are tortured and caged. Eventually, he orders his brainwashed slaves to wall themselves into the adamantine vein, and they become the new demons.
