All right then, I guess I'll be the first to say it.

I will spare your life and make you my personal human-pet.

I'm afraid Jreengus will have to be turned into nutrient-rich sludge though.

Damn curse my correct identification!

But aha! I have an EMP device! Leave now lest I detonate it and destroy your robot henchmen!

What was this topic about again? At this rate it's going to get lost in the derail before it even gets one serious reply.

It's about the 2010 Seven Day Roguelike Challenge.

Make a roguelike in a week.

Read the links for info about registration/participation.

It's still extremely shady to register on a forum simply to advertise. You may not be a bot, but you're just as bad.

I registered on this forum a long time ago, I just didn't post anything for a while.

I posted this because last time a lot of people said they would have participated if they knew about the challenge.

This isn't commercial and I am not getting anything from people participating, just thought DF fans would be interested in a roguelike challenge.

I got a couple of reports on this thread.  It probably would have been better to put that context in the OP, since it is generally frowned upon to flat out link to things as a first post.  In any case, I think everything's cool now, so people can go ahead and talk about the topic if they like (since there was some interest last time, if I remember) and leave the "bot" matter alone.

I'm not exactly sure why people thought this was a bot thread, because we had the exact same kind of post last year, IIRC. ???

I doubt I'll participate this year (unless my work schedule is VERY generous), but I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Ooh, looks interesting. I should start right away so that I have time to finish before the contest is over...

(Just kidding, I know that the key point is to have limited time, although I will be creating a font for general purpose use in other projects, with plans to use it for this... Also, plenty of brainstorming...)

I'll play the ones that are judged the best, maybe.

I wouldn't have a clue how to even start making one, anyhow.
