Crash on startup (closed during save process)

I've looked through the "crash on startup" threads, and I can't seem to find anything to help me.

I was forced to shut DF down while it was saving, and I haven't been able to get my fortress to load since then. The gamelog has only one line: ***STARTING NEW GAME***, and I get a "dwarfort.exe has stopped working" message. Does anyone know of a way I can rescue my game, or should I just start over?

I think its safe to say that you buggered the save and you should start a new fortress.

Dang. I don't suppose there's any way to revert to a previous save...?
