That's just a fan theory. DF fan culture at some point (maybe right from the beginning?) became obsessed with torturing dorfs, burning nobles, commiting genocide on elves. The player is Armok is a fine theory to justify it.

Oh, OK. Will check that out later. Seems ridiculous to try to limit player imagination like that though. Shame really. The vision of DF as 'fantasy world generator' was excellent.

--Ok. Watched interview now. Was more of a humorous reply to a pretty bizarre question about Tarn being the reincarnation of Armok?! Besides, the comment is about an idea they had about the original Slaves to Armok.
