Depending on how it's set, take an automatic fort screenshot at the start of every year, start of every other season, or start of every season. Chart fortress growth!

not difficult. justl ook up AHK (autohotkey). configure it to do what you want when you want... or *gasp* by hotkey!

I have it set so I have to hit one key to take a screenie... and also hit one key to save and RAR the files to a backup directory.  It like any macroing utility for windows works with anything that runs in windows and takes standard input.

Yep, but the thing you can't do yet is to trigger that screenshot/pause/autosave/... by events happening in the game.
