My first Giant Cave Spider!

So... questions about it!

- Can they be caught with traps?
- How do they produce silk? (Can I put it in a pen and let it do its thing?)

And, more of a general question about rarer monsters... can GCSeses/megabeasts be bred?

A GCS can be bread, given you have at least two of them on the map, and their different sexes. If you want to set up a breeding program it's in your best interest to catch the female, as her young can be collected and "farms" can be set up.

Megabeasts can't bread unless you edit your raws.

I don't think bread is even IN the game...

No, contrary to what Lobos posted, giant cave spiders do not have child tags unless modded. But you can add them.

Just insert this into their raws to allow them to breed:

[CHILD:4][CHILDNAME:spiderling:spiderlings]

You can change how long they stay a child by changing the 4 to a different number. You can change the name of the children by changing spiderling:spiderlings to whatever you want.

Yikes, the Orcs have a nasty language.  Traditional foreplay would be right out for them; how would they ever "say my name" for one another?  No wonder Ocrs are always so bloodthirsty and violent, they're getting sub-par action.

Oops, then I probably did that at some point a while ago and forgot. That might also explain the reason why giants breed and have a damblock of 900 for me.
