HIPPOS is not a valid religion sphere; as far as I know REGIONAL_FORCE ignores spheres anyway and just goes with nature and such.
Unless you want to play as them, get rid of CIV_CONTROLLABLE.
There's no point in having all of those item permissions if the hippos themselves don't have the EQUIPS tag.

Yes, the HIPPOS thing...I read it didnt work in errorlog so i switched it to fortresses.

I want to play as them, but I need to make a new Hippo creature i think. Because when i make dwarves, INDIV_CONTROLLABLE i could never make a new world, soooo...

Do I need to make a new creature of hippos with some tweaks?

Remove CAN_SPEAK/CAN_LEARN and give them INTELLIGENT.

You don't need CAN_CIV - INTELLIGENT covers that. There's a broken BUILDINGDESTROYER tag there as well. You also should remove SPHERE:HIPPO from the creature.

Is the entity in a correctly-formatted file?

SO i was just playing as a Hippo in Adventure mode.
Then it lagged so bad i couldnt do anything.
