The Desert is Covered with the Webs of Great Demon Spiders
« on: December 04, 2009, 07:18:08 am »

I decided that for extra challenge I would add Great Demon Spiders to my game. They are basically Giant Cave Spiders that form a civilization and lay siege similarly to Orcs.

I decided to embark in a desert. However, it is inexplicably covered with the webs of Great Demon Spiders. I was initially afraid to move, but Dwarf Companion assures me that there are no Spiders on the map.

Does anyone know what is causing this, or if this bug is already known?

It's not a bug. They live in outside biomes, right? Thus the game spams there webs, as it does with cave spiders in chasms during the generation. It's a common thing and I think it's just [WEBBER] which does it.
