I looked this up on the wiki, and it didn't have it. I'm wondering if you have to bring back the thing's head after you kill it, because I haven't been doing so and I've still been getting "Fantastic! You are a champion" messages. Does it net you an extra bonus or something? Because the mayors have not been asking for the heads.

You don't need to bring anything.
It extends the amount of how many people you can have at a time.
For example, you have 3, now the limit is extended to 4.
