I'm considering trying to reinstall the OS on this PC. Should I try within the remaining time, or would it be futile? (The OS would be XP Home SP2)
I'll quite likely have no time to restore things even if I manage a reinstall by the deadline, but this rig has already nearly-failed me with a "boot disk error" at startup. I'm almost afraid to reboot/power it off now.

Damn. I have a smorgasboard of undelayable tasks tomorrow (our furniture shop is moving), and my mother's still not asleep, so I can't attend. If I have initiative and I'm still functioning, Evasive Strike on the immediate threat to move out of threat range, and move to any available cover. Don't forget I can deal quarry damage, and get a +1 to attack if none of the allies are closer to the target than me.
