Rainseeker Needs Avatar-Icon Help
« on: November 22, 2009, 03:26:01 pm »

I've designed myself an icon for the forums, but it never seems to properly fit the forum profile.  I guess that it's NOT perfectly square?  Does anyone know what the ratio is?

Actually I don't think it matters. Look at mine, it isn't perfectly square either (not at all) but it displays perfectly for me (using firefox), so maybe something else is going on there.

You also don't have to resize you avatar, it automatically does that.

A lot of people are using 80x80. Can you make that work?

I'm not sure, I'll try that.

...Resizing has been a problem for me, though.  It adds white to the side for some reason, I'm not sure what's going on there.

Are you on a weird browser?  The resizing works fine in Firefox, not sure about other browsers.  Anyway, it resizes to 80 width, and it can be more than 80 pixels high.

Try using a .png. I think it'll still resize it to 80 pixels horizontally, though.
