This is a horrible idea implemented on a horrible website and Capntastic does not promote or endorse it in any way other than to laugh at it.

I'm making one for bay 12 games now. For some reason it says I'm ineligible for an account, guess it doesn't like my email address or something.

Any publicity is good publicity and its an easy way for more people to find our beloved DF.

P.S. I hate mypace too but there are millions of people there who could possibly make a donation and help grow our community, and i think its a good idea to promote DF anyway we can eh?

Yeah, being successful in the gaming industry means hyping something up as much as you possibly can, sitting on the release date to generate EVEN MORE hype so more people will buy it because the hundreds of thousands that initially were just weren't enough, then have all stores put it on the shelves late at night so thousands of sleepless nerds will gather at every electronics store across the nation and get into sissyfights about who took their place in line while they camp out in front of a store for days on end.

Getting the alpha out there first helps you get to the greedy, cultural phenomenon phase of the industry, though.

Yes but I seriously doubt that the average myspace user is capable of anything more complicated than finding their ass with both hands, and that's only because their heads are usually in a position to see what they are doing.

Still, it might be worth a shot.

I remember hearing on the news a while back that myspace had more hits than google during a week for one week, so who knows.

Yeah but hits are worthless considering that MySpace is totally impossible to navigate unless you know exactly what you're looking for- to say nothing of how unintuitive its interface is.

The idea for a DF group is much better than someone making an account for DF by far, which isn't saying much.

And Spam outnumbers legitimate email 2:1.  What's your point?
