Breeding non-vermin fish?

Despite remaining on the map until death by natural (or other) causes, large fish like carp, pike, etc. never seem to reproduce. In contrast, other lingering animals like hippos and cave crocodiles do indeed breed.

I don't immediately see anything in the raws to account for this distinction... is it a bug/feature of being [AQUATIC]? Seems unlikely.

Perhaps they reproduce by laying eggs inside thirsty dwarf corpses :P
