Speech files poetry
« on: November 14, 2009, 05:32:16 pm »

Go to DF>data>speech

use the files to write beautiful and meaningful poetry

Rules:

You can:

Replace context tags with anything you want.
Add punctuation/capitalization
Be awesome

You can not:

Alter the original text
Change line structure

Example:

I am a dwarf.
Conqueror.
It is I that felled all of the elves.
whose pointed ears now decorate my dining room table

Imagine the datascape of the future, where digital archaeologists, scouring the uninhabited and long-abandoned corners of the supernet, uncover our creations (save folders) and hopefully the means to appreciate them in our context (a DF installation).

And that ... that is immortality.

I don't believe your OP was sufficiently clear. I, for one, am unsure as to what we're actually trying to do here, beyond that it involves poetry. What is the core idea?

Go into DF - > Data -> speech

open the files and find phrases and use like 3 of the sentences to make a poem.

You could make them longer with a bit of creativity. That example was rushed. There is some hilarious stuff in those files.
