Making a one of a kind creature?
« on: October 14, 2009, 02:57:43 am »

Say I wanted to edit the raws to have a creature show up in-game that is literally. one-of-a-kind. As in, the only one to show up in the entire world. Is there a way to do this?

No.

Mega-beasts come close, but then you aren't guaranteed that one will show up in your current game.

Ask in the modding sub-forum - they might have tricks that the usual lurkers here (like me, for instance) don't have.

You could try making it have a civ and setting the Population Tokens at one.

FYI you can move this thread to the Modding forum.

Ironblood didn't use an axe because he needed it. He used it to be kind. And right now he wasn't being kind.

Since Dieties and Powers/Forces/unique spirits are already one-of-a-kind, hopefully we'll get a Token that can specify one-of-a-kind ... eventually.

If you want to dig around the EXE file you might find it.

Hm. Maybe adding [MEGABEAST] and [POWER] you think? It might not work but at the very least it gives it a chance of making the creature unique.
