[Abyssal Squid]

We all know what a pain it is to find swordsmen instead of peasants, or macemen instead of children in adventure mode.  Instead of smashing all of the military professions into one or two colors and removing those colors from civilian life, it would be better to do the same thing with all races that is done with dwarves; namely, giving them different but related symbols.

For example, either ∩ or Ű for humans, and either Σ or É for elves.  It would probably be best to make them user-definable.
