by the way, where does all that stuff end up when you export it? i tried looking for it, but it seems to be nowhere.

Should end up in the root DF directory.  Should be some .txt files and 1 (maybe more don't remember) images

k, here's how he looks like, however, he's not in a work i just generated, and i looked in the legends and printed out a list of all the creatures in my map. any idea of whats going wrong?

also, do i need to give a [LARGE_ROAMING ]    [COLDDAM_POINT:1000],   [MAGMA_VISION] [UNDERSWIM]  [HEATDAM_POINT:100000] WEBIMMUNE  and [DINURAL]  [VIEWRANGE:16] [PARALYZEIMMUNE ][NOFEAR][NO_SLEEP][NATURAL}   tags?

note to self: decede wheter or not to add CURIOUSBEAST_GUZZLER      [CURIOUSBEAST_EATER]    [CURIOUSBEAST_ITEM] tags

is LIKES_FIGHTING  self explanatory?

it's BODY, GILLS etc. for tokens. Capitalized. Does your errorlog.txt say something?

Does the forum transform GILLS to Gills, BRAIN to BRAIn etc?

to robert: you need the [LARGE_ROAMING] tag the cold/heat damage tags are indicators of if the creature will take damage if under/above (respectively) value.

the sleep, activity, and view tags seem to mostly just be used to adventure mode (time in fortress mode is by season, year, and timer, not hours or days)

to deon: yeah sorta noticed that but more with "li" needing to be LI

Looks nicer now.
I'd replace
 [DINURAL   with
[MATUTINAL] not DIURNAL   [VESPERTINE][CREPUSCULAR][NOCTURNAL]
dawn-day-evening-twilight-night.

Size 4 and attack power of 1-2, equivalent of "peasant dwarf's punch minus two"? That's quite weak, gazelle kick or macaque bite weak. Since they are nasty horrors, put attack power at 3-8. Or upgrade them to human size (7). To test them vs. adventurer, make them appear in desert and then walk circles in a desert. Oh and the LAYERING number limits what temperature areas they show up in -- 55 human, 100 dog, 300 polarbear.

[DAMBLOCK:25], wtf?? that's size 29 equivalent protection, more than dragons and titans. Try damblock 4 or 6 coz their "special flesh".

okay, here's what my friend and i figured out.

there's no upper body on this thing, its just a set of gills connected to 5 tentacles. there's no real body to it at all. the gills, with the [CONTYPE:UPPERBODY]tag is trying to connect to something that isn't there.  even if it didn't have that tag, its still a floating tentnacle with gills, and is dying because there's no place to put the brain.

we tried giving it the BASIC_1PARTBODY:BASIC_HEAD: tags and we'll see if those will work.

that didnt' work, so i removed the "CON:UB" tag from the tentnacles, that didnt' work, so i tried to add the [UPPERBODY] and [LOWERBODY] tags to the "gills" body type. i also added the [COLDDAM_POINT:1000][HEATDAM_POINT:100000] tags.


and it STILL didnt' work. am i missing something else?
