Wrestling.

This has always bugged me. I can understand the cheesy horror films, the melodramatic ghost hunting, and the name change. But why is there Wrestling on the SciFi Channel!

Because a half naked man jumping on top of another half naked man requires gravity and gravity is science related?... I ... Guess?
Because its faked?
But under that logic, any non reality show, animated or live action, is Science Fiction.

I have managed to get sick of the endless repeats and I have seen worse movies on showtime... I will watch almost anything once, but after the a half a dozen repeats I just don't really see the point anymore. They also seem to end series mid-run without warning and only seem to have about one or two new shows at a time. But I think the local version is a little different to what the rest of the world gets, so others may have different experiences...

I've got a better one; Why is Samurai X aired on Sci-Fi? I watched Sci-Fi till like 6 in the morning one night and was somewhat surprised to discover that at around 1am to about 3am it suddenly and briefly turned into an Anime channel, and then pretended nothing had ever happened.

Ever since i've concluded that it's not the Sci-Fi channel, it's the "Random Shit We Don't Know Where Else To Put" channel.

Some animated stuff is serious science fiction, much more so than some of the random stuff that gets into the likes of Star Trek(more so in the original series but still present in the later ones)... But the likes of Charmed and Buffy, which are both pretty firmly fantasy, and Samurai X, which seemed to be a costume martial-arts piece, really aren't science fiction at all, so you basically have to accept that it is not a science fiction channel, it is a channel with science fiction...

Samurai X, otherwise known as Rurouni Kenshin, is not science fiction, I can vouch for that. It's about Meiji Era Japan where a christian bishonen 'samurai' fights tyranny and generally forces his views down everyone's throats. He doesn't kill anyone though! Some of the stuff on the show is magical in nature though, with one scene where he shoots lasers out of his sword in order to really hit somebody really hard.

Well, if it fills their schedule, they'll put it on.
