 A. 1 pet, cat or dog
 B. 15 units of food, meat or plant
 C. ONE copper pickaxe for digging (I know they weren't around in the stone age)
2. No migrants allowed. makes it that much harder
3. dwarves can only have
 A. Hunting
 B. gathering
 C. one point in another skill
4. NO: digging until 1st summer, copper forging in the first year, iron forging until 2nd winter, steel in 4th year. magma, machinery, and other traps are not permitted until year 3. Farming is allowed at 1st summer.
5. If at all possible, avoid caravans until 2nd year.

Advice
I have tried this before. Failed miserably.

Try not to:
Make war with elves.
Make war with humans.
Kill off your dwarves.
Dry your cats in dwarven "microwaves".

and tell us what happens in your new civ! We are all dying to know! (well, technically the elves are dying, but...)

i saw the remains of a neolithic village in scotland once. they didnt have any copper anythings. the pickaxe ill let slide out of necessity. but i think you could take a page from kobold camp, where they have modded shovels that can only dig through soil. skara brae (the neolithic town i saw) had houses that were sort of dug into the soil but poked out of the surface. they were pretty neat.

this is pretty much the closest thing to real world neolithic dwarves as youll ever see.
