Reminds me of that "little big planet" gameplay vid.

And tbh... it still looks like it sucks (gameplay wise) compared to good ole "Lost Vikings".

Of course, if you finished all of them, you'll need something new. I for one still have 3 uncompleted levels  ;D

Heh, I've got an aunt named that.  It's a not-too-uncommon Norwegian name.

Pronounced differently, of course.

Actually if you decode the post it IS about your aunt.

It's from the same guys who made Shadowgrounds, which I found a bit mediocre to be honest.

Trine looks good so far though, I really hope they can pull this off.

I'm just now playing the demo of this game, and I have to say I love it. It's only been 5 minutes, and yes, it's nothing but a lost vikings ripoff, but it's very nicely done. I havent seen any major riddles yet or anything like that, but it still is nice.

You just notice the love for detail, imho. For instance how the characters are animated, the voice acting of the narrator, all those little details. I cant actually say anything about how the game is going to be, level design will make a major part,  but so far it looks as if there is a lot of potential.

Get the demo, see for yourselves. At least it's worth a try.

So I've beat the game, and got every experience except 2 on the forge level. Argh.

Er.. I don't trust either of those providers. Steam, because its support sucks and I have been ripped off once too many times by it, and the other one because it's supported by Metoboli, which often edits its games so you have to grab a separate patch, and such. Plus, I don't even have an account on it.

Anyone know when it's coming to D2D?

EDIT: Meh, I'll just torrent it and send 30$ to the developers.

You dont even need to torrent it :D

its like 600mb in the full version and its conveniently available as a 3 part rar... or so a friend told me *cough*

for the people that played it:
are there any proper puzzles coming up? demo is kinda boring. When I think of the lost vikings, by level 5 or so you already had to use your brain and properly use the characters. on the other hand... in lost vikings... you could and you HAD TO put every single viking in special spots for certain puzzles, while singleplayer trine has the characters compressed into one, at all times, severely limiting the puzzle potential.
* Puck is off to grab the lost vikings series again.

So I recently got this and played it all the way through in one sitting. It was fun but I feel that it could have been better, for a start the knight was completely redundant. He had a shield for blocking but most of the time it was just as easy to dodge. When they gave him the hammer I thought it could open up new and interesting problems but then you only use it twice I believe in the entire game other than for killing enemies so it's basically just a better weapon. I get the feeling he was supposed to be the best fight but I found spamming triple arrows to be much more effective. They would prevent enemies retaliating unlike his sword attacks. And unfortunately most of the puzzles were redundant. At first you just pile up boxes as the wizard and occasionally swing around as a rogue then later on it's just a case of: I want to be there, summon platform above there. swing up to there. Anyhow my verdict is that it's fun, but flawed.
