I still play the 2d version quite a bit, probably about as much as the latest version, as they are 2 very different games... in the 3D version you can basically turtle and become indestructable without much difficulty, hence the existence of megaprojects to keep the game fresh. The latest focus on the underground diversity should bring back a lot of the Fun.

Now, if only there was a way to backport the UI enhancements from the 40d* branch to a 2d version, that would be kickass.
