what have you done?

So this is my dining room.

Really young fortress.

No doubt you noticed what happened when I had my engraver work on it.

Why would he carve so many images of dwarves?

Made me laugh when it happened.

Maybe he is member of the "guild of self-conscious engravers" that always engraves themselves eating favourite food, or embracing animals.

"Let me get this straight...You engraved images of yourself eating cheese, all over my bedroom."

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.

I would find it a bit creepy too if some dwarf carved pictures of himself all over my room. Look more closely, there might be writing on the wall. "For a good time, call Urist McEngraver at..."

"No I would have to reject THAT engraving, the nose is too big and the mouth is too small, and, the hair is not curly enough"

"Sir McMayor, that face is me not you..."

"Then where is my face?"

"You are stepping on it Sir"

I think if you were to stand in the middle of the room and spin at the right pace, you'll see a looping animation of him doing stuff.

That seems to make plenty of sense.

I just turn off revealed engravings... I like notchy lines look better; it doesn't give the impression that engravings are on TOP of walls.

Let's not forget you can selectively reveal engravings in-game. Excellent for decorating rooms a little more, especially with more relevant images and whatnot that you want visible.

Makes libraries rather interesting looking if you make any.
