Help for modding : arena
« on: May 28, 2007, 02:27:00 am »

To help modding, maybe an other mod could be implemented : arena.
Basically a very minimum world would be created. Basically just the loading of the creatures. then you would decide which creatures, and how many you want to have generated in a small area.

The aim is to test more conviniently your creations.

I've already set up a world parameters screen, and I wanted to put size in there, but there's quite a bit to update as far as the rejection code and civ placement code and so on if the size is allowed to be fluid.  I might get there this time around, though.  It would fun to have a 1 square world.  On top of that, adding a list of creatures and so on wouldn't be so bad, but there would be some work associated to getting them placed in whatever populations or wilderness construct realize them as roaming creatures.  Certainly a reasonable thing to aim toward though, since the currect world reconstruction for modders is painful.
