What is Battle Champs?

In Dwarf talk 2 they mentioned a game called battle champs. What is it? where can I get it?

It is a simple game that Tarn wrote so that he could release the graphics part of the code so it could be improved. The end result is the OpenGL/SDL DF that is linked above.

It might be worth adding a description to the Wiki.

It was basically a simple and undeveloped game thrown together so that Tarn could release a tiny portion of the DF source code, specifically the graphics.

Then someone ported it to SDL, and that change was merged into DF itself, and so we have DF on linux and mac as well as just windows.

Although, since it is open source, anyone could always take it and turn it into an actual game instead of a tech release.
