Can confirm on Windows 7, Ubuntu 9.04 native, and Ubuntu 9.04 through Wine(XP)

Just to point out, the letter for "remove ramp or stairway" is missing... I forgot what it was and had to try pressing random buttons.

So, anyone have any idea as to the cause and/or a workaround? I've got a fair number of keys memorized, but for those which I don't.... well, this is rather troublesome.  ;D

I find that if you extend the menu out to 2/3 screen all hotkeys are visible and shifted right while the menu is on the left.  This might help

Yeah, that works, though I prefer a permanent fix.  Oddly, I have stopped playing completely due to this minor annoyance.  Guess I am getting old and curmudgeonly...

Yeah, after reading about that mouse bug topic I disabled the mouse interface and it worked

But then you can't zoom.

I'd love a init option, like "disable mouse in designations menu" since that is where it mostly gets stuck.

Hm. Well, a hair troublesome, that (I prefer to keep the play area largest), but if it works it works, and I admit I hadn't thought of it. Silly me. Thanks! I suppose it'll help me get by until this gets properly fixed.

EDIT: Well, it mostly works, but a few items' keys are still squatting squarely in the middle of the command description.

ah good, I hoped I wasn't the only one with this problem and apparently I'm not, jolly good.

Windows 7 32bit, 1280x960 window, not using mouse, not sure if I'll get stuck in menus :P

edit: I also seem to occasionally get stuck in menus. :(
