Ranged attacks?
« on: August 12, 2009, 05:07:11 pm »

I just started creating a creature, the only thing left to add is the attacks, is there a way to get a ranged secondary attack, and when the enemy closes in get a melee attack as main? Also, if i put multiple secondary attacks, will it choose randomly from them(they will have the same damage)?

Sorry, there's no way you can put ranged attacks on a creature, with the exception of [FIREBREATH] (makes the creature shoot out a ranged fireball projectile) and [DRAGONFIREBREATH] (shoots out said fireballs in a cluster). If you're going to do that, make sure the creature has [FIREIMMUNE] or [FIREIMMUNE_SUPER] (for dragonfire) respectively so it doesn't burn to death in its own flames. Melee attacks as main are definitely possible, and yes it will choose randomly from secondary attacks. Keep in mind the creature will only use secondary attacks if it isn't able to use it's main.

Yes, firebreath is the only option.

Also make different MAIN attacks and they will differentiate.
SECOND is avaliable when all MAIN are impossible (blocked/removed bodypart etc.).
