How much booze will it take to blow up everything in a 10x10 room?
« on: September 24, 2009, 05:44:18 pm »

I'm trying to figure out the blast radius of a booze explosion. I got a caged fire imp that will be set up to a lever that will release it in to a room full of booze. At the same time a pull the lever, 2 floodgates will shut and trap any orcs or gabbos in. I just need to figure out how much is enough booze to do the job....or do it the dwarf way and fill the whole damn room with booze just for the overkill.

100 barrels.

Booze doesn't explode the way you're thinking of it. It makes red-colored steam, but that doesn't harm anything. The barrels and the alcohol burning will set things on fire, like any dwarves having a drink.

Cool, I'll have to set it up so the stupid dorfs don't get themselfs killed. But that means I can't set up a line of barrels in my halls to explode, for a self destructing fort....damn!

Doesn't the boiling booze spread out and set things on fire?

With [SLOW_LEARNER], dwarves probably don't sit around and talk anymore. They just stand in the same corner altogether, staring at each other, sticking their bearded lips out trying to make sounds. And giggling when someone actually says a whole word.
