DF Chat?

Is there any official DF Chat Room? I get bored just playing DF by myself, and chatting whilst playing would be fun. Thanks.

Do you use firefox? If so, just try the addon Chatzilla.
Open it from the tools menu.
Then type
/server irc.newnet.net
/nick yourname
/j #bay12games

personally I would advice against chatzilla and tell you to get a proper irc client instead, it's annoying to accidentally close the window for the n+5th time.
mIRC, xchat or irssi for windows
xchat/irssi for linux
ircle (I think that's the name) for macs.

Commands work the same in all.

No. The only browser that has an IRC client built-in is Opera, I believe.

Most IRC clients are less then 10mb anyway, so it's not a huge ask. If you don't want to download anything, just use Mibbit - it's a web-based IRC client.

I was going on nearly every day about...  a month ago?  Then I became reabsorbed with DF in the mornings and have been forgetting.
