Tileset issues

I've downloaded the Mike Mayday tileset pack. However whenever I try to run the game I get a message stating that there is no video mode large enough for my resolution. I've tryed reducing my screen resolution to every possible size, copying and pasting the tileset archive into the DF archive (copying over the files inside) 

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know how to help? I'm tired of looking at the ascii

Check your init file for the resolution settings, perhaps?  Since the resolution the game runs at is separate from the one your computer runs at, and I can't tell from your post which you're talking about.

... But that's the only idea I had.  I've not had a similar problem.  Mayday's pack works fine for me.

Mayday's graphics pack has 16x16 tiles, and the minimum screen size for DF is 80x25 tiles. This means that you need a screen resolution of at least 1280x400 to use it. I'm guessing you don't...

You will need to use a tileset that's smaller, if so.
