Taming the monsters.
« on: August 02, 2009, 06:37:01 pm »

I have a cave river with a lot of animals in it. It is getting to the point that they are eating my fps like it is popcorn. I am trying to capture at least a male and several females of each species, but I fear that at the rate I am catching them they will breed out of control. does anyone know of a good way to catch them? Or failing that, a utility to tame them?

you can tame them by dropping a river shaped block into the river to establish superiority.

empty the water into a large pit. put grates at the end to make sure the monsters don't fall in. design it so their pathfinding puts them in a large room filled with cage traps.
