Like the title says.

a) Yes, I have items marked for dumping.
b) Yes, they are accessible.
c) Yes, the dump site is active, and accessible. It's a quantum dump, if it matters.
d) I'm using traffic diesgnations, if it matters. Tried removing the designations, but no dice.

So yea. The dwarves were happily working, and then, all of a sudden, 50 idlers popped up. I still had plenty of stone to dump, but they just weren't going for it. No error messages, nothing. What gives?

EDIT: Forgot to mention. I'm running 40d.

Double edit: Heck, here's a save for anyone who wants to try to figure out what's wrong. I'm trying to get rid of all that stone around what's soon to become a massive sinkhole.

Are the items forbidden? (they won't dump if they are)

Did you order all dwarves inside?

No, and no. Just uploaded my entire DF file, and for the record, yes, I do cheat a bit for wood and the occasional bit of adamantine to armour my champions with.

EDIT: Yes, I know the file doesn't have any dump designations, I took them out before uploading the file.

Did you perhaps use the orders menu to turn off refuse-hauling and forget about it?

Is it possible the path to the quantum dump goes through a single tile and that tile had 2 people in it?

Skorpion: no, I don't think so, but I'll check that.

Granite: Nope. the dump is in the middle of a 5-wide corridor with plenty of access.

Are there any large constructions anywhere on the map using that type of stone?
Because of the way constructions work, the stone may very well be "reserved" for walls or floors or whatever.

It's also possible it's bugged out a little bit. Sometimes when I deconstruct from above and the stone falls down, the dwarves will never touch it again.

Nope, no large constructions, being as my current megaproject is to dig and collapse a large sinkhole.

Can anyone try confirming that the dwarfs aren't dumping on your computers, though? Maybe it's just mine, for some odd reason.
