Help! fey mood. Dwarf wont claim a workshop!

He just standing on a table in the dining room. Building every workshop I can right now. Any suggestions?

Try magma and non magma variants of various workshops.

What's the guy's profession? What's his highest skill?

Well, first I'd check what skills he has. Generally its his highest skill he's trying to mood over.

Try a magma glass furnace and a regular glass furnace.

And what skill is his highest? Bonecarving? Leatherworking?

You say craftsdwarf, but there is no magma variant of a crafts workshop.

He has novice glassmaker/leatherworker/stonecrafter/military skills. He is titled as a craftdwarf though.

If you already have a glass, leather and crafts workshop plus a masonry then try to make a magma glass workshop... assuming you have magma.

Hrm, I don't suppose you have an underground water feature such as a pool or river? There was a thread about underground plants on stone turning into sand if trampled.

Build a wall around him and have a coffin ready so nobody gets upset about him rotting. :)
