You can fire off a telegram now, but I think we're out of space for the moment, so you'll have to wait a few days either way.

http://weststats.com has the info on items, jobs and quests.

Also check out the ingame help by hitting the ? in the lower right. While still a little awkward from it's translation from german the help is quite useful when your starting out.

Please pardon the extreme necromancy.

The West recently updated to a new version, and now features Forts which can be built or fought for by towns and their allies. Plump Helmet Spawn has started working on a Medium Fort (Mountainhome) in world 2, and could use some builder-types. It's not clear if this addition will relieve the tedium inherent in the game, but I figured it couldn't hurt to give a shout-out to B12 to see if there might be any old or new interest aroused by the idea...

I just started a character.  Looks like a neat game.

Fair warning, it lacks depth.

If you're on world 2, send one of the Plump Helmet Spawn town leaders a message and we'll get you an invite to the town.

I'm on my way to the area.  It will be about four hours.  I might as well do jobs around there rather than any where else.  My ingame name is pilgrimboy.

I think it ate my character. It's been a long time since I logged in, but that seems harsh.

It ate my character too and I can't be bothered to restart. Good job for you guys I dumped all my funds into the town's coffers before I quit.

No worries. Aside from one ill-fated attack on our nascent fort, the main effect this has had has been to be able to build again, as well as force us to do the various logging jobs instead of more useful stuff - though there are a few called-for jobs that we don't have anyone capable of doing (e.g., Paddleboat), so I suppose that could give someone a goal to work towards.

It hasn't been paradigm-shattering as far as "gameplay" goes.
