New Tags for Armors etc.

I am working on a mod (Metal Mod look at it under moding) and part of te future of this mod and it's goals cannont be realized without soe help from Toadyone. My Idea's are quite simple, and make a LOT of sense.

1. Add specific material requirement tags to ALL items (not always necessary to have, but the option is there) Thus any modder can require say, Scale Armor that requires the following items to MAKE: metal wire with [Armor] tag, thread, and leather armor already made. Leather armor would require 2 hides and rawhide strips (2-4) to make etc.

2. This system is already used for smelting items, and is similar to the tagging system on creatures. It also is productive toward DF's final goals, and enables the playerbase to fully create new metals, armors, threads, cloths, weapons, cloths, foods, stones, crafts, and more!
