[Warlord of Woe]

I'm probably five years into my fort, and i'm doing wonderfully. Easily a 20-30 dwart military, well armed and armored with iron and steel weapons. I've had about four goblin ambushes, but those were within the first two or three years. I proudly took zero casualties, and i've been eagerly awaiting my first siege.

However, i'm now at my fifth or sixth year as I said, and I haven't seen any goblin ambushes or sieges, and now my KING is on the way. I have vast amounts of wealth, obviously for the king to arrive, and yet not even a sign of the goblins. On the civilization screen, there's a blue/green P next to the goblins when not highlighted.

Why would they switch from war to peace, and if they ARE at peace, why am I not getting any goblin caravans to attack and provoke war again?

Any ways to get the goblins to siege or go to war? Population is like 160 now, i'm waiting for something to try and kill my fort.

Wow, i'm in pretty much... the exact same situation. I'm going into the seventh year now, and while there was a  whimpy wrestler/speargoblin siege about a year ago, they recently sieged me with 3 of the notable goblin leaders (their overall leader, and the two local leaders that i didn't have in cages yet). It wound up with their leader dead, and the other two local leaders in cages.

The local leaders are still on the civilization screen, because they're not technically dead yet... But they're still at war with me.

Otherwise, I dunno. I only recently read that you even -can- be at peace with goblins, and have been intrigued since.

The peace with the goblin things is mostly meaningless right now, since goblins besieging and ambushing you right now comes from a placeholder feature. The relevant tag, [BABYSNATCHER], makes them automatically hostile.

If you want them to come, vastly increase your wealth, and continue to produce new wealth.
