New way of constructing walls

Here's an improved way to build large numbers of walls (and other buildings) quickly:

1. Select which building to build, as normal
2. Select material to use
3. Place as many buildings as you want, they will use the selected material and will be built in the order you designated them.

Been suggested maaaaaaany times.   It's most probably in the works, after the bugs and everything.

why not use the ukhm keys to control size of floors and walls to be build like with bridges and farms?

1) build a stockpile (or many) for the material you want to use, and that material only, in the shape of the building to be built
2) remove stockpile(s) when full
3) before anyone has a chance to rearrange, create your constructions on the site, the material is already in place making it simple to select and there area almost no cancelations because nothing is in the way.

This is true, but it doesn't help when you're building in the air. It would be so much easier if open air wasn't considered blocked.
