Preventing Fires
« on: July 24, 2009, 05:07:51 am »

So I'm a total noob, so feel free to completely shoot this down.
Basically, a fire creature gets out of your magma pool and sets the world on fire, right? :(
Well, grass should shift between seasons, just like trees do. In summer it's dead and easier to light, in spring it's lush, in winter it's frozen/lush depending on the climate, and in fall it's semi-dead.
I just wanted to say that. I looked through the archives and didn't find immediate threads on this.

Shouldn't happen in warm regions but other than that, great

For now, build dirt roads to stop any wildfires

I agree that grass should not always burn, but keep in mind that it does not have to be hot for a fire to spread, just dry.
