Anvil Trap
« on: July 21, 2009, 04:09:31 pm »

Am I the only one that thinks it should be possible to load stonefall traps with anvils? One would expect a large block of iron/steel to hit a bit harder than a chunk of stone, and it would give anvils an alternate usage aside from building workshops (rather limited) and trading (though they don't fit in bins and they weigh a ton).

It'd also be quite amusing.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I think we should be able to load them with grand pianos as well.

Additionally, we need pit traps that make goblins try to run on the air for a few seconds before immediately attaining a quick downward velocity.

We also need to be able to paint fake doors on wall pieces so the goblins run into them and squish like an accordion.

See, the difference between my idea and your ideas is that mine is technically feasible, given that anvils already exist in the game.

[edit] Also, it looks like several people have already thought of this.

We also need paintable holes that goblins can fall into. And that dwarves can pick up and move elsewhere at a whim.

Just realized that this was posted in the wrong forum, and that a similar topic already exists in the proper location, so I'll lock this and let any actual discussion continue here.
