Df not working on Mac OS X, Version 10.6.8
« on: August 16, 2012, 07:38:13 pm »

Hello all!

I've been playing df without issue for a year now but I'm having problems after I switched to Snow Leopard. Instead of launching my new download of df, terminal responds with this:

/Users/Downloads/df_osx/df ; exit;
-MacBook-Pro:~ $ /Users/Downloads/df_osx/df exit;
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/Downloads/df_osx/libs/SDL_ttf.framework/Versions/A/SDL_ttf
  Reason: image not found
/Users/Downloads/df_osx/df: line 12:947 Trace/BPT trap./dwarfort.exe
logout

Does anyone know whats wrong here?

You don't have libfreetype installed.  It should be on the install DVD.  I'm not a Mac user so that's all I can tell you from some light googling.

Is this a new computer or an upgraded OS on an old one?

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Do you have XCode? Or the the Apple Developers toolkit? (can't remember what it's called, but it comes with Xcode IIRC).

If you haven't, you need to sign up (for free) as an apple developer and download it from the apple developers website.
