Will rotten prepared food still be eaten? Can I trade rotten prepared food?

To my knowledge you cannot eat or trade rotten food. The items are moved from the "Food" category to "Refuse." From what I can tell, some food completely vanishes when it rots (leaving only miasma). I think this may be limited to prepared meals left in a kitchen, but it's hard to say.

If your meals are rotting in the kitchen, get some food haulers dedicated to it fast! Rotten masterpiece meals can make your chef throw a tantrum.
