Downloading the entire wiki.

I figured it went here. Move if it doesn't.

Simple question, I'm going out of town, so is there a way to download the entire wiki source like wikipedia?

I don't believe so, because it would be a huge server hit every time someone did it.

(Not affiliated with the wiki beyond membership, so don't quote me on that)

The wiki runs on mediawiki, which has several dump tools available, and the dumps themselves are usually surprisingly small. An article dump of wikipedia - lacking history, but with all the content - is just a couple of gigabytes. Compressed, of course. I imagine it'd be just a few megabytes for DF, tops.

You'd have to ask the server maintainer to arrange for that, but I think it's a good idea. It'd also double as a backup in case of disaster.

RESERVED - I actually have a copy.
Complications arise when I try to share it, so give me a little while to get it right.
Don't ask how I do it, it does use a lot of bandwidth, but if only one of us does it and hosts it externally for the rest who want it, it obviously doesn't use as much.

Note that this is a 1:1 dump.  No attempts to clean or fix it have been made.
That being the case, internal links and internal hotlinks (images) will not work.
You can still view the relevant articles/images, obviously, just not on the page as it is normally due to the broken filepaths.  It's better than nothing if you're without internet, that's for sure.
