I know theres a gcs somewhere on my map because i keep finding dead animals covered in web but i cant seem to locate the actual gcs..... its freaky as. Any suggestions or help as to how to go about finding it?

Surround a chain with Cage Traps in the general area of the webs and then chain a sacrificial animal to it. That should lure it into the traps.

Yeah, GCS start out in ambush mode (i.e. invisible).

There could be a chance that the GCS is long gone. I had a map which had a few bits of GCS web around, but when I kept flinging animals down the pit, they didn't hit anything. I think the GCS was long dead as there was no web, and I was flinging from the top of the pit. Not to mention one of the two or three flying creatures already in there could have hit the web sooner or later if there was one. Given that they do have a maxage, it's plausible.

Are you sure the web is just normal cave spider web? In that case, various vermin will get caught, but they are harmless.

na it definitely said giant cave spider web. its just ive never encountered one before and was unsure as to how to catch it and by the way wat do you reckon is the best set up for farming it?

Doesn't sound like a GCS to me.

If it killed an animal, it should have given you the ambush message and be on your unit list.
