how am I able to increase the amount of years that pass before I join the world , I hav read of people simming to year 10 ,000 before joining but mine always stops at 200 or even 50 depending on the size of world , thanks in advance

This should be because much of your worlds megabeast died. The creation will stop automatically if only 30% (or 20%) are still alive.

You can alter those settings under "create new world with parameters" then hit "e" and look out for "Percentage Beasts Dead For Stoppage" and "Year To Begin Checking Megbeast Percentage"

Change them to your liking, then go back, save your settings with f6 and gen the world.

But beware! You could end up in an world without dragons and hydras.
