What is a good program for taking screenshots in DF?

Press Print Screen/PrntScn and then copy and paste it into MSPaint or GIMP or whatever you have and crop out the area that shows Dwarf Fortress.

Assuming you're on Windows (may not be a safe ASSumption, but I'm running with it)

- With DF as your active window hit Alt-PrintScreen
- Open paint. (start->run->mspaint)
- Paste.
- Crop or otherwise edit as you see fit, then save as jpeg or something besides bitmap.
- Upload and share! (or not)

Two ways.

That top button left button in the three button sequence next to your keypad, push it.

Or better yet, alt + ort scr.

If you're running os x, there's a program called grab in utilities.
But you have to use the selection feature.
The others get you a blank screen for some reason.

In vista there's a handy "Snipping Tool" in Accessories. Just drag a box around DF and save the shot somewhere.
