Mounts and Diplomatic Guards

I'm a bit of a newbie to the world of modding, and if there is a thread that already already addresses these issues I apologize.

1. Anyways, I know you can tag creatures as [Mounts] but I looked through the human entity files and I couldn't find anywhere that suggested that humans ride mounts into combat, although they certainly do. What is the tag that lets them ride horses and
2. I've heard of a tag that gives Diplomats bodyguards; does that make the diplomats who show up have their own soldiers to protect them from wild animals and ambush? Do any of the vanilla civs have these? (diplomats visiting my fort always seem to arrive independantly)

If a civilization has biome access to a mount they'll ride it into combat as far as I understand.

*good or evil are the broad limitations to that access though if you made a good mountain mount for elves they'd probably never use it since they're in the forest.
