Sounds a bit like a mad max sort of thing with just a few dwarves cobbling together what they can out of stone, magma and bone in order to survive in a goblin infested wasteland. Now that is a DF game.

I'm sort of a noob modder, so what would I change in the reaction_standard.txt to make the rose gold reaction produce an iron anvil?

I think you do not need an anvil - you can use ash or something ... I remember it droped from magma men.
