How are the "civ based" adventurer starts determined?
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:10:55 pm »

I know that [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE] allows you to use "Play now!"

But what makes it possible to start from a civ? Meaning you can build your character etc.?

I created a custom civ, based off elves and I can both "play now" and start with a civ

On the other hand, my custom draconic civ only has got "Play now"

What determines it?

I believe it's the existance of the civ in the world, if they all got wiped out I don't think you'd be able to start with a civ.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

I think it's the ADVENTURE_TIER tag, and its existence in the world. Though I think ADVENTURE_TIER is a prerequisite for INDIV_CONTROLLABLE anyway.

they aren't prereqs though. you can have just indiv_controllable.
